Like many seasoned professionals and entrepreneurs, he reached a point in his career where he wasn't making the difference he wanted. It's not that his career plateaued, "Things weren't terrible," as he points out, he just had a burning desire to do more and be more. Of course, he didn't leave immediately, (not many people ever do), instead, he learned to cope - switching back-and-forth between low quality sleep, and high degrees of stress.
